Nicholas Morvay
Artistic Director
Nicholas Morvay is a musician from Windsor, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Windsor with degrees in music and education and did his Masters studies at the University of Saskatchewan in music composition. He has taught for both the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board as well as for the Music Theatre Program at St. Clair College. Highlights of Nicholas' career include playing piano for rock group Evanescence at Caesars Windsor, playing piano and directing the band for Max Pellicano's Elvis Tribute residency in Novi, Michigan, and directing and singing with local a cappella group, Masquerade. He is currently the Musical Director and Organist at Emmanuel United Church as well as Music Director and Orchestra Conductor at Windsor Light Music Theatre. He regularly accompanies musicians at the Kiwanis Music Festival, is band leader and keyboardist for The Broadway Bunch, was recently an adjudicator at the Windsor Choral Festival, and plays piano and celeste with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra.
Monique Simone
Collaborative Accompanist
Monique Simone started playing with the Windsor Classic Chorale in 1994. Her degrees include a Bachelor of Music Honours Degree in violin, and A.R.C.T. Teachers Certificate in piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and Bachelor of Education degree. She studied piano with Sister Elizabeth Therese of the Ursuline School of Music, and Earl Moss at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and Professor affiliated with Wayne State University. Monique studied violin with Lillian Sheirich at the University of Windsor, Arlene Jansen at the University of Windsor and began with Mrs. St. Germaine at St. Cecile Academy.

Monique has taught at various music schools including the Ursuline School of Music, St Cecile Academy, the Artist’s Journey, Walkerville Centre for the Performing Arts for woodwinds and piano, and currently teaches private lessons since 2004 in LaSalle. While Monique was an accompanist at the University of Windsor for the Music Program for many years she also played for festivals, and had many solo recitals. In July of 2013, Monique performed as the accompanist in a workshop/concert hosted by Kathy Costa with special guests from New York; Kait Kerrigan (Lyricist) and Brian Lowdermilk (composer) in “Future of Broadway” at All Saints Church in Windsor. Highlights of Monique’s career include playing for John Washburn of the Vancouver Chamber Choir, being the rehearsal pianist for Maestro John Morris Russell, and playing the second piano part of Carmina Burana for the Classic Chorale. In May of 2012, Monique performed a solo community recital with vocalist Mari Voelker in “Mari Sings” at Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church in Windsor. Monique was born and raised in Windsor, and has been teaching music privately since 1986. She performs throughout Windsor and Essex county at various events and weddings.

Joshua Dunkley (he/him) is a student at the University of Windsor, studying classical voice. In addition to singing in various choirs, he also enjoys playing the tuba in his local church’s band. He has performed as a member of the University Wind Ensemble, Singers, and Chamber Choir, in addition to a local church choir and band. While he enjoys singing and making music at school, in ensembles, and at home, he can also frequently be found reading dissections of television, books and video games online, or writing fanmade works for series that he particularly enjoys.
Haiden Couvillon (he/they) is a Windsor born and raised musician with a Bachelor of Music in the comprehensive program at the University of Windsor. Their major is in classical voice, but they play the bassoon as well. They have been involved in as many ensembles as possible during their time at the University of Windsor, including the University Wind Ensemble, University Singers, and Chamber Choir. As well as some community ensembles, such as the Windsor Symphony Community Orchestra, the Windsor Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Windsor Classic Chorale, and the Windsor Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Outside of ensembles, they teach voice, brass and wind instruments, and ukulele at Musicland in Amherstburg. When they aren’t in rehearsal or practicing their music, you’ll find them relaxing with their pet turtle named Little Dude, painting, or doing embroidery.
